Hike and Handicraft – Oda’s garden
Walk over a pass into the Region of the High Mountains of St. Katharine, enjoy interesting rock formations, spend a day in a bedouin garden.
Learn the local handicraft from the bedouin women, discover their culture and traditions, create your own bag.
Intinerary
Start in St. Katharine at around 9 am – walk up the Abu Geefa Pass (ca. 1-2 hours) – stop for tea – have lunch and spend the afternoon in Oda’s garden – learn about the bedouin garden tradition and the bedouin handicraft – walk back to the village of St. Katharine.
Cost
Guide, tea, lunch and workshop 260 LE per person (for a minimum of 2 participants).
240 LE per person (from 3 participants to a maximum of 6 participants).
What to expect
You should be fairly fit to do this trip. Please bring walking boots for the rocky terrain in Sinai. We will walk for about 3 hours.
When we are invited in a bedouin house usually family and guests share the food from a big plate.
